theBuzz: What We've Won
| Paradigm Shift Worldwide Event Marketing & Production, an industry leader in the development and production of publicity launch events for major brands, has been honored with several prestigious awards for creative publicity stunts and unconventional experiential marketing programs.
For two consecutive years, Silver ExAwardsTM were bestowed upon Paradigm Shift Worldwide by a panel of industry judges from Event Marketer Magazine. Those awards were followed by the ExAward for "Best PR Event of 2005" for "Lost, Season One," another Silver ExAward for "300" and our latest nomination, "Best PR Event of 2008" for "Sex and the City: The Movie." The Annual ExAwards program honors the proven effectiveness and creativity behind the year's best event and experiential marketing programs. Building on its reputation for crafting cutting edge, first-ever events, Paradigm Shift Worldwide conceptualized and executed The World's First Underwater Premiere at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, California, to celebrate the DVD Release of the Disney/Pixar blockbuster hit, "Finding Nemo." The event garnered massive publicity for Buena Vista Home Entertainment's product launch - breaking existing records for the most units sold in one day, and earning honors in the "Best PR Event" ExAwards category. Also honored with a Silver ExAward in the "Best Activation of a Charity/Community Sponsorship" category, Paradigm Shift brought together St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Miramax Home Entertainment to create a "CHICAGO DVD Release Party" benefitting the 2nd annual "Runway For Life" fundraising event. Paradigm designed, scripted, directed, choreographed and produced the entire |
event. A giant video wall served as a fluid backdrop to the stage, which featured celebrity models, fashions by Robert Ellis and Hugo Boss, original dance and custom edited footage, all themed to the Best Picture Academy Award winning film, CHICAGO. Celebrity models included Jennifer Aniston, Cindy Crawford, Ray Romano, Marlo Thomas, Cybill Shepherd, Ryan Seacrest and John Ritter, to name a few. At the Eighth Annual PRISM AwardsTM Ceremony aired on the FX Network, the Entertainment Publicists Professional Society (EPPS) also recognized the huge success of the "Runway For Life" event. EPPS presented Buena Vista Home Entertainment (Miramax) with a EPPSilon Award "Excellence in Issue-Oriented Entertainment PR Campaigns." The award recognized the "Chicago" DVD release campaign in support of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital's goal of promoting research and treatment of childhood catastrophic diseases. Paradigm Shift could not be more thrilled with the results. "We are delighted at receiving these honors," says Dan Kough, President of Event Marketing for Paradigm Shift Worldwide. "Our creative team is constantly striving to be at the cutting edge of event marketing tactics as key strategic components of our clients' overall marketing mix. |
Taking PR campaigns to the very edge is always exciting. It is incredible to be recognized for our efforts and, as traditional advertising becomes less and less relevant, we're thrilled to be leaders in an industry that represents the next generation in consumer marketing across all consumer categories." Wendy Moodie, President of Technical Operations for PSWW added, "As we celebrate our tenth anniversary, strong word of mouth has been the primary tool in growing our business beyond its filmed entertainment roots, and these awards are wonderful indications of how successful a theatrical approach to events and marketing can be. Regardless of the product or brand, it just works!"
