Festival of Children Foundation

To celebrate the 9^th Annual “Festival of Children” month-long program, the charity contracted with Paradigm Shift to create a look for their opening night party surrounding the theme of “Soaring to New Heights.” Playing off of the “soaring” visual, we developed a design concept surrounding the famed hot air balloons found in Napa wine country that would seamlessly blend into the outdoor courtyard environment.

The main stage was custom designed to include a series of hot air balloons as the backdrop, setting the tone for the overall look of the event. Custom bars and buffets were created out of wine barrels and rough-hewn wood arbors, featuring twisted grape vines and FOC branding. A series of communal table guest seating areas were created, using wooden tables in rich tones, topped by a series of Provencal, brightly colored runners. To add softness to the look of the environment, a series of wooden seating cabanas were erected throughout the space, featuring flowing white drapery and white leather furnishings to add crispness and contrast. In a clever twist, recycled wine bottles were utilized as vases for centerpieces, containing scores of bright yellow sunflowers. In addition, the charity event included live performances and awards presentation for the 500 guests in attendance.
