To celebrate the highly anticipated Blu-ray and DVD release of FRINGE, Warner Bros. hired Paradigm to design and produce a dramatic, multi-dimensional party loaded with “insider touches” and highlighting the series’ key them: the existence of dual dimensions.

The “two parties in one” began with a unique, 50 foot black carpet that included random $2 bills scattered about, along with a distinctive rope and stanchion, featuring long strands of handcuffs. Series talent and creators, including J.J. Abrams, Joshua Jackson, Roberto Orci, Blair Brown, Lance Reddick, Jasika Nicole and Anna Torv were on hand for black carpet interviews.

As guests entered the first party dimension, the “black dimension,” they were literally submersed into a dark, obscure atmosphere consisting of unique lounge seating areas, featuring all black furniture and corresponding black and white area rugs.

At the visual termination point of the black dimension, a large black drape with a rolling fog screen featured video of the “dimensional portal,” essentially dividing the party space in half. As guests passed through the fog curtain, they suddenly found themselves in an exact mirror replica of the first party, only slightly different. Instead of utilizing black as the anchor color, all of the elements were white.

Creating a must-have take-away for the event, Paradigm designed the Department of Homeland Security Booking Station photo opportunity. Guests were able visit a lavishly propped out “booking desk,” get handcuffed and be given a board with their booking number on it to hold up in the photo.

“Back to the coolest party I've ever been invited to.  Once the cast and show runners progressed down to the end of the red (black) carpet firing line, we all made our way inside Vancouver's Club Venue to enjoy an evening of libations and Fringe-tinged conversation. Once inside, it was as if William Bell himself had decided to get into the nightclub business. Clips from the first season played on loop, via embedded monitors set in the tables we placed our drinks on.  A projector splashed scenes from the first season on the wall behind me as I chatted with a woman who's as multi-talented as the character she portrays, Jasika Nicole aka Agent Astrid Farnsworth.  Meanwhile, an array of beakers filled with liquids representing every color of the rainbow sparkled off the tinted spotlights from above, as folks like Abrams, Orci and Jackson made their way through the crowd.”
