The New Beverly Cinema, Grace Restaurant, Los Angeles

To celebrate the launch of Quentin Tarantino’s INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS on Blu-ray and DVD, Paradigm created a highly visual “throwback” screening event and after party at the New Beverly Cinema and Grace Restaurant in Los Angeles. The exterior of the theater featured a WWII era vintage 1937 black Buick Sedan flanked by period searchlights to set the tone. The red carpet arrival featured scores of media interviewing attending talent, including Quentin Tarantino, Diane Kruger, Eli Roth, B.J. Novak, Omar Doom and Samm Levine. As guests entered the theater, they were greeted by “cigarette girls” in period costume, handing out drinks and treats. Prior to the first-ever screening of the film in the Blu-ray format, a short film based on the making of the movie, “Nations Pride,” was premiered for attendees.

Following the screening, Paradigm created a red retro-contemporary environment based on primary colors featured in the film…black, white and red. Projections of key scenes were imbedded in mirrored surfaces within Grace Restaurant and large, dramatic arrangements of red roses were highlighted by LED lights situated beneath clear cylindrical vases. Modern, high-gloss furnishings created a lounge vibe, with mirrored accents and flickering candles, creating a retro-contemporary supper club feel. Celebrity DJ Bizzy spun an eclectic mix of standards and pop, creating a unique musical feel for the event.
